Changes in Secure Connection Requirements
We want to inform you about an update in our secure connection requirements as part of our commitment to ISO certification. Effective immediately, there are changes in how you securely connect to third-party systems and services using OpenMethods.
What's changed:
SSL/TLS Requirement:
-
Secure communication with external services now mandates using SSL/TLS wherever available.
Certificate Acceptance:
- We now require host certificates to be valid and publicly verifiable.
⚠️ The following certificates will not be accepted!
- Self-signed certificates
- Private intermediate or root certificate authorities
- Expired certificates
- Certificates with CN or alternate names that do not match the service endpoint FQDN
If your current system does not meet the updated requirements, one of our OpenMethods representatives will work closely with you to coordinate the remediation effort and ensure a smooth transition.
We prioritize your security and satisfaction at all times. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our support team."
